Ian Altmann

Ian Altmann is a Research Engineer at CONTACT Software, focusing on innovative methods and technologies to incorporate sustainability and circular economy principles into business processes, particularly through artificial intelligence, green technologies, and digital lifecycle management. With experience as a Project Engineer in IoT & Industry 4.0, Ian has developed and implemented tailored IoT solutions, ensuring compliance with customer project requirements and quality standards. As a freelancer since 2014, Ian has worked on diverse customer projects, including creating a rich-client application and a server-based database for managing enterprise documentation. Prior roles include Technical Lead & Software Developer at Model Engineering Solutions GmbH, where Ian designed web-based BI solutions for the automotive industry, and Student Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute, developing applications for process optimization and maintenance in various industries.
