Rohit John Varghese

Rohit John Varghese serves as the Director of Product and Systems Engineering at Contoro Robotics since June 2023 and holds multiple leadership roles at Harmonic Bionics, Inc., including Advisor, Research & New Product and Vice President of Research & New Product since January 2018. Rohit has led the development of the robotic Harmony SHR exoskeleton, significantly contributing to clinical trials and securing $7 million in Series A funding, while successfully expanding the engineering team. Academic contributions include a role as Adjunct Faculty in Robotics at The University of Texas at Austin and extensive research experience in human-robot interaction. Rohit's educational background includes a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Portfolio in Robotics from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
