Tyler Watts

Tyler Watts is a Mechanical Design Engineer currently with Contoro Robotics since April 2024. Prior experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Internship at DMG MORI, where Tyler focused on CAD and CAM production using Siemens NX, developed parameter sets for new materials, and assisted in process improvement projects. Tyler served as Team Captain and Team Manager for Longhorn Racing Combustion, overseeing design goals and team operations. Additional internships include work at Rivian, designing impact testing devices and customer-facing products, and Cumberland Additive, where Tyler improved material properties and optimized production processes. Tyler holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
