Steven Hales

Steven Hales currently serves as the Dean of International Education at Contra Costa Community College District, a position held since November 2015. Prior to this role, Steven was the Director of International Student Services at Southeastern Oklahoma State University from October 2014 to October 2015, and the Director of the English Language Center at Millikin University from July 2011 to September 2014. Steven holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teacher Development, and Comparative, International & Development Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, earned between 2005 and 2011. Additionally, Steven obtained an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University from 1991 to 1995.
