Justin Wang is a Venture Partner at Contrary since October 2024, contributing to a talent and research-driven investment firm that supports exceptional individuals and their companies. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Engineer at Gray Swan AI, focusing on AI safety, and as a Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where LLM robustness research was conducted under Andy Zou. Justin also served as a Machine Learning Engineer and Intern at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, engaging in projects related to synthetic data generation, neural radiance fields, and the development of autonomous aircraft sensor action generation. Currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, Justin's educational background includes time at Montgomery College and Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School.
