Mary Wang

Mary Wang, PhD, serves as the Senior Director of Strategic Planning at Scripps Research, a nonprofit biomedical research institute, since October 2017, where responsibilities include developing and implementing the strategic vision to enhance innovation and accelerate the institute's scientific impact. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Strategic Planning and Chief of Staff to the CEO & President at Northwestern University from October 2012 to September 2017. During this time, Mary Wang was also an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and Ryan Fellow, conducting research on nanoparticles under the guidance of Professor Chad Mirkin. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical-Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Northwestern University.
