Brandon Williams

Brandon Williams is a Plant Biology PhD student at Cornell University since May 2019, bringing a solid foundation in biological sciences from prior roles such as Research Assistant at Boyce Thompson Institute and Laboratory Assistant at SUNY Cortland Biology Department. Previous experiences include work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant focusing on the effects of pink-pigmented facultative methylotrophic bacteria on plant growth, a Plant Genome Research Intern utilizing molecular cloning techniques, and a Fisheries Intern at Great Smoky Mountains National Park involving fish handling and water quality analysis. Brandon also contributed to student life as a Resident Assistant overseeing 37 residents and served as a tutor for biology and chemistry courses, emphasizing academic support and skill development. Educational achievements include a PhD in Botany/Plant Biology from Cornell University following a Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York Cortland.
