Erik Renteria

Erik Renteria, MBA, currently serves as the Director of Energy and Land Strategy at Cornerstone Engineering, Inc. since October 2024. Prior experience includes a decade at Aera Energy LLC, where Erik held multiple roles, culminating as Real Estate Supervisor, and was instrumental in overseeing well failure rates, managing plug and abandonment operations, and optimizing pumping unit designs. An MBA consultant at SAP for a limited engagement in 2022, Erik conducted a market analysis and developed a strategic framework. As Student Chapter President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Erik established a chapter that received recognition as a Gold Chapter. Additional experience includes an internship at Chevron, where Erik optimized production performance, and tutoring at CM Learning Center. Erik holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
