Jorge Varela

Jorge Varela is an experienced manufacturing leader with a robust background in medical device production and operational excellence. Currently serving as the Manufacturing Site Director at Corza Medical since June 2022, Jorge oversees various manufacturing activities including operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality. Previously, Jorge held similar roles at Baxter International Inc. and at RB, where significant achievements included transforming the Delicias City manufacturing plant into a model of operational excellence and achieving high service levels. With a foundation in manufacturing from Mead Johnson Nutrition, Jorge has also held several logistics and planning positions across Latin America, showcasing expertise in budget management and process improvement. Jorge holds an industrial engineering degree from Universidad del Valle de México and multiple diplomas in lean manufacturing and production management.
