Norval Kneten

Norval Kneten is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education administration. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for the Council of Independent Colleges since July 2018, Kneten previously held the position of President at Barton College from July 2003 until June 2015 and served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Nebraska Wesleyan University from July 1998 to June 2003. Kneten holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and graduated with high honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Texas Lutheran University.
