Ken McBryde

Ken McBryde serves as the Design Director of Architecture at Gensler and has been a Country Representative for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat since August 2013, where additional roles include Member of the Board of Directors for Australia and Founding Chair of the Sydney Committee. As a Good Design Ambassador for Good Design Australia since March 2021, Ken advocates for sustainable design practices. Ken holds the position of Adjunct Professor at both the University of Sydney and University of Newcastle, contributing significant real-world experience in architecture and design. Ken has also served on the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment as a state-appointed member of planning panels. Prior experience includes principal roles at Ken McBryde Architectural Physics and HASSELL, and director at innovarchi, with notable projects focusing on human-centered, sustainable, and socially responsive design. Ken obtained a Master's Degree in Architecture by Research from The University of Queensland.
