Lailee Rahimi

Lailee Rahimi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and civil society development. Currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at Counterpart International since September 2023, Lailee previously held positions including Senior Program Officer and Case Manager for the Asia Region at the United States Institute of Peace from September 2021 to April 2023. Lailee's career includes significant roles such as Technical Team Lead for the USAID-funded Promote Women in Government Project at Chemonics International, as well as Deputy Director of Certification at the Aga Khan Foundation. With a background in civil society strengthening and training development, Lailee has effectively managed various projects, coordinated claims processes, and contributed to the capacity building of civil society organizations in Afghanistan and beyond. Lailee holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Kabul University.
