Fred Harran

Fred Harran has extensive experience in public safety and law enforcement, currently serving as Sheriff of Bucks County, PA since January 2022. Prior to this role, Harran was the Director of Public Safety for Bensalem Township from March 2006 to January 2022 and held the position of Deputy Director at the Bensalem Township Police from January 1999 to February 2006. Harran's educational background includes a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Saint Joseph's University, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science also from Saint Joseph's University, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Beaver College/Arcadia University. Harran furthered professional development at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety through the School of Police Staff and Command.
