Doug Becht

Doug Becht is a seasoned professional in social work and program management, currently serving as the Director for the County of Orange since August 2021. Prior to this role, Doug held the position of Director of Operations at the Office of Care Coordination from October 2020 to August 2021, and was a Senior Project Manager at CSH, the Source for Housing Solutions from September 2019 to October 2020. Doug's earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President at Breaking Ground from November 2011 to July 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing various programs addressing street homelessness in New York City. Doug's career began in 2007 at BronxWorks as a Program Director, leading a successful Homeless Outreach Team that significantly reduced street homelessness. Doug's foundational experience includes work as a Program Counselor at Fiver Children's Foundation. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Manhattan University.
