Carolyn Burns

Carolyn Burns is a Talent and Acquisition Analyst at San Mateo County Health since October 2014, with prior experience as a Healthcare Recruiter at United Medical Staffing, where recruitment focused on healthcare leadership and clinical professionals nationwide. From 1992 to 2013, Carolyn served as the Director of Intensive Services at Caminar, implementing innovative Assertive Community Treatment-Model programs to support high-risk adults and those with severe mental health challenges, improving lives through comprehensive, client-centered services. Earlier, Carolyn worked as a Clinical Case Manager and Program Counselor for the Satellite Assisted Independent Living Program at Caminar from 1987 to 1992. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has further education from Antioch University West in San Francisco and Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA. Carolyn is a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP).
