Preston Merchant

Preston Merchant is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in photography and education. As a self-employed freelance photographer since August 2000, Preston is currently working on a project titled "Indiaworld: Images of the Global Indian Diaspora," seeking a publisher. From August 2011 to August 2018, Preston served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, teaching courses in digital photography and photojournalism. Previous roles include Executive Secretary at The Church Club of New York, Staff Writer at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Assistant Director of Development at The Seamen's Church Institute. Preston has also held various communication and teaching positions across educational institutions, enhancing literary and artistic engagement.
