Patrick Gahlen

Patrick Gahlen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital transformation and process development within the polymer industry. Currently serving as Manager of Digital Transformation & Ecosystem at Covestro since February 2018, Patrick has contributed to both "Digital R&D" and process development. Prior roles include a project engineer and PhD student at Covestro, an external master thesis researcher in polyurethane R&D, and various positions as a student assistant at the Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on extrusion processes. Patrick holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Polymer Technology from both Technische Universität Dresden and TU Dortmund University, alongside ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Business Administration. Additional education includes a Master of Science in Polymer and Textile Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from RWTH Aachen University.
