Jan Scheel

Jan Scheel is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and water management, currently serving as Vice President for Water and Climate Adaptation at COWI since June 2021. With extensive experience in the field, Jan has held significant roles, including Market and Project Director at COWI and cross-market manager for Water and Supply in Sweden and Norway at NIRAS. Additionally, Jan contributes to academia as a Beskikket Censor for Civilingeniøruddannelsernes + Diplomingeniøruddannelsernes Censorkorps. Previous positions include Department Head for Planning, Construction, and Roads at Randers Kommune and various civil engineering roles at NIRAS, Rebild Kommune, and Brovst Kommune. Jan holds a Civil Engineering degree specializing in Wastewater and WWTP from Aalborg University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus.
