James Lewis is a Specialist Fraud Prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service since May 2014, previously serving as a Senior Policy Advisor (legal) at The Crown Prosecution Service for a brief period in 2020. Lewis has extensive experience in fraud prosecution, having started as a Case Lawyer at the Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office from 2008 to 2010 and then continuing at the Crown Prosecution Service from 2010 to 2013 following a merger that formed the Central Fraud Group. Earlier roles include serving as a Senior Crown Prosecutor from 2001 to 2008 and functioning as a Legal Advisor to the Attorney General and the Solicitor General from 2013 to 2014. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and completed Bar Finals at the University of the West of England.
