Katherine Lane

Katherine Lane is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences unit at the Crown Prosecution Service since March 2020. Prior roles include Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Crown Court and Crown Prosecutor, demonstrating extensive expertise in prosecutorial matters. Katherine previously worked at the Government Legal Department from September 2018 to March 2020 as a Barrister, advising on criminal procedure and drafting complex legal documents, and as a Pupil Barrister, focusing on immigration judicial reviews with a substantial caseload. Prior to that, Katherine served as a Paralegal at Herefordshire Council, providing legal advice on childcare law and conducting legal research to assist social workers. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The London School of Economics and Political Science and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London.
