Chuck Wipf is the current Manager of Bridge Engineering for Transportation at Crafton Tull. Chuck has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on construction and inspection.
Chuck started their career in 2000 as a Construction Inspector for MoDOT. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating and performing construction inspections to verify compliance with contracts, specifications, and engineering principles. This included inspecting routine construction items such as asphalt and concrete paving, grading and base, small to medium span bridges, and concrete box and pipe culverts. Chuck also inspected special items such as utility adjustments, signing, traffic signals, and lighting. In addition to inspections, Chuck also performed measurements and computations for final plans, change orders, contractor payment estimates, and engineering costs. Chuck maintained required construction documentation, records, and files and prepared progress reports for their supervisor.
In 2002, Chuck cross trained in Bridge Design at Central Office before eventually becoming the Manager of Bridge Engineering for Transportation at Crafton Tull in 2006. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the design of all bridges within the transportation sector. Chuck works with a team of engineers to ensure that all projects are designed and built according to code while also meeting the needs of the client. Chuck is a highly skilled engineer with a passion for their work. Chuck is dedicated to ensuring that all projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Chuck Wipf completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
