Ellen McClain

Ellen McClain serves as the CEO and President of Year Up since July 2015, previously holding positions as President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer within the organization. In addition, Ellen McClain is a member of the Board of Directors for both Crane NXT and Crane Co., roles assumed in April 2023 and April 2015, respectively. Ellen McClain also held leadership positions at the New York Racing Association from July 2009 to April 2013, operating major racetracks including Belmont Park, Aqueduct, and Saratoga Racecourse. Prior to this, Ellen McClain served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hearst-Argyle Television from September 2004 to 2009 and as SVP and Chief Financial Officer at Granite Broadcasting Corporation from September 1993 to July 2004. Ellen McClain earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University.
