Johnny Burleson

Johnny Burleson is a seasoned professional in advancement and fundraising with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Principal for Mid-Atlantic at Creative Fundraising Advisors since December 2023, Burleson previously held the position of Chief Advancement Officer at the North Carolina Museum of Art from April 2019 to December 2023. Other notable roles include Director of Strategic Partnerships at Blue Cross NC, Associate Dean for Advancement and Associate Dean for Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement at Appalachian State University. Burleson began the career at North Carolina State University, working in various capacities including Associate Executive Director of the NC State Alumni Association. Burleson holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Textiles and International Studies from North Carolina State University.
