Kendra Holland is the Chief Merger Officer and past Interim CEO and Chief Risk and Administration Officer with connectFirst Credit Union (CFCU). Kendra has more than twenty-five years of progressive experience in financial services, from sales, credit, risk, strategy and executive leadership, working for a chartered bank, credit union, and federal crown corporation. As a collaborative, innovative and future-focused leader, Kendra brings a passion for the co-operative financial services sector to her role with Alberta Central’s board. She thinks that the co-operative principles that the credit union system are founded on, especially the focus on values, supporting local and the community, are a powerful differentiator for the system. She understands the importance of the sector working together to achieve common goals and ultimately fuel the growth and prosperity of Albertans.
A leader and mentor, Kendra is committed to helping create empowered, proactive and results-focused teams and values asking tough questions to challenge the status quo. She is a risk management leader and is passionate about transforming risks into optimization and enablement activities. She believes credit unions provide the best banking experience for members, because all credit union employees work hard to relate to members and connect with and serve the communities that they operate in.
Kendra holds multiple degrees and designations, including an Agriculture Business degree with a major in Finance from Olds College, a Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation and a Masters Certificate in Risk Management and Business Leadership from the Schulich School of Business. She lives in Airdrie and enjoys curling, hiking and biking.
