Chet Kapoor

Chet Kapoor is an Infrastructure Advisor at Crosslink Capital. Chet has also served as the Chairman & CEO of DataStax, VP of Google, and CEO of Apigee.

Kapoor was born in 1967 in India. Chet immigrated to the United States in 1974 and attended high school in Connecticut. Chet earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1990.

After graduation, Kapoor worked for various roles at NeXT Computer for four years. Chet then joined BEA Systems as VP/GM in 1996. Chet left BEA Systems in 1998 to become the CEO of Gluecode, which was acquired by IBM six months later. Kapoor then served as VP of IBM for 1 year 8 months before becoming the CEO of Apigee in 2006.

Kapoor led Apigee through its IPO in 2015 and its acquisition by Google in 2016. Chet served as VP of Google for 3 years before joining Crosslink Capital as an Infrastructure Advisor in 2019.
