Dmitry Volkov

Dmitry Volkov is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in performance engineering, capacity planning, and database technologies. Currently serving as Staff Engineer, Performance and Capacity at Cruise since November 2024, Dmitry's previous roles include Senior Staff Engineer at ServiceNow, where participation in an AI hackathon led to selection among the top 30 teams, and Director of Performance Engineering at MariaDB Corporation, managing a global team focused on the distributed database MariaDB Xpand. Dmitry has held various technical leadership roles at Salesforce, IBM, Pythian, and Oracle, contributing to significant projects in performance optimization, system design, and cloud architecture. Dmitry holds a Master's degree in Physical Sciences from the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI.”
