Thomas Berthou is currently an Ingénieur Recherche et Expertise at CSTB, focusing on the development of next-generation Energy Performance Certificates in Europe and improving the reliability of French Energy Performance Certificates. Since April 2014, Thomas has taught data science related to the energy sector at Mines Paris and has served as an energy efficiency researcher and project manager, leading numerous national and European projects aimed at facilitating the energy transition in buildings. Previous experience includes R&D engineering at Veolia Environnement, where building simulation and optimization were key responsibilities, and a Ph.D. in Energy and Processes from Mines Paris - PSL. Thomas holds multiple degrees in energy and mechanics and has contributed to various projects involving smart grids, energy simulations, and performance testing.
