Joel Lee

Joel Lee is the current Advisory Board Member at Culture Shift Labs and the former Chief Executive Officer of icitizen. A devoted political and civic engagement professional, Joel has been instrumental in building the social network of politically aware and knowledgeable participants whose opinions and ideas can shift the landscape of political discourse.

Through their leadership at icitizen, Joel was able to bring together a diverse group of talented professionals including software engineers, data scientists, seasoned pollsters, political journalists, social media mavens, and political consultants. Together, they built a base of politically sensitive participants, a forum for thoughtful discussion, and a marketplace for recruiting like-minded individuals for participation. Under Joel's guidance, icitizen's user base grew at an exponential rate with high levels of engagement. The company's lead revenue-producing activity was the conduct of rapid turnaround polls for political candidates, advocacy organizations, and media groups.

Since leaving icitizen, Joel has continued their work in the political and civic engagement space as an Advisory Board Member at Culture Shift Labs. In this role, they provide guidance and expertise to help the organization achieve its mission of promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in the tech industry.

Joel Lee has a Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology and Behavior from Colgate University.
