Jeremy Smith

Jeremy Smith, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, FAWM, is an accomplished emergency physician currently serving as Core Faculty in the Emergency Medicine Residency at Cape Fear Valley Health since January 2022. Prior to this role, Jeremy Smith was the Associate Medical Director at Cape Fear Valley Health System from December 2019 to July 2021 and completed a residency at UNC Hospitals Department of Emergency Medicine from June 2015 to June 2018. Early experience includes serving as a Team Member with the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team from February 2007 to June 2015 and a Service Manager at Carrier Corporation from November 2006 to November 2010. Jeremy Smith has a distinguished military background as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from August 2001 to August 2009, where responsibilities included serving as Gunnery Officer on USS MAHAN and Reactor Mechanical Division Officer on USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER. Education includes an MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (2011-2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi (1997-2001).
