Wolfgang Tomé is a Professor of Radiation Oncology and Director of Medical Physics at the Institute for Onco-Physics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Professor and Director of the Division of Therapeutic Medical Physics at Montefiore Medical Center, the teaching hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He also holds appointments as Visiting Professor of Medical Physics at the Centre of Medical Radiation Physics of the University of Wollongong, Australia, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has over 250 peer-reviewed publications, 16 book chapters, 3 books, and 7 patents to his credit, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Medical Physics and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. His current research interests include techniques to mitigate normal tissue injury; bio-effects of focused ultrasound; biologically guided therapy, MR-guided therapy, as well as immunoadjuvant cancer therapy.
