William Ortell is a dedicated mentor at Curious Cardinals, providing personalized instruction to middle-school students in writing and social sciences since November 2022. Previously, William served as a Summer Undergraduate Fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, where research focused on AI governance and crisis simulation using GPT-4. As the Director of Academic Development for the Delta Chapter of USC Delta Phi Epsilon, William organized events centered on global social issues. In addition, William contributed as a research assistant in the Security and Political Economy Lab at the University of Southern California, analyzing civil war case studies. Early experience includes an operations role at NUA Corporation, managing financial tasks and technical support. William is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at the University of Southern California, expected to graduate in 2024.
