Ernest Wohnig

Ernest Wohnig is a seasoned cybersecurity and risk management professional, currently serving as CEO and Principal CIP Risk Advisor at Wohnig | Chaman | Associates since February 2013, where advisory and training services are provided to senior clients in the Energy and Federal sectors. In March 2024, Ernest founded the AI & Emerging Technology Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the secure adoption of emerging technologies, and serves as a contributor to the Tortora Brayda Institute for AI & Cybersecurity. As a Founding Fellow of CS2AI Global, Ernest fosters collaboration in critical infrastructure security. Ernest also leads SC&A’s Enterprise Risk Management Practice as Senior Vice President, addressing various risk factors for federal and commercial clients. Previous roles include key leadership positions at System 1, Inc., The AES Corporation, and Booz Allen Hamilton, along with academic contributions as an adjunct professor and course developer in cybersecurity. Ernest holds a BA in Political Science from Virginia Tech and a Master's in International Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
