Anahita Thoms

Anahita Thoms serves as the Chairwoman of the ESG Advisory Board at Fresenius Group since November 2023 and is a Supervisory Board Member at Baker McKenzie Deutschland since July 2023. With extensive experience at Baker McKenzie, Thoms holds multiple leadership roles including Practice Group Leader of the Public Law Group and Partner in Sustainability, Trade & Compliance, focusing on compliance, ethics, and global investigations, particularly in international trade law. Thoms has also contributed as a member of the National Committee of UNICEF e.V. and as an Advisory Board Member for the Sustainable Finance Advisory Council of the German Government. Previous experience includes a significant tenure at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where Thoms was Counsel and Co-Group Leader of the Global Sanctions and Trade Team. Thoms holds advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Master's in Environmental Law from Nottingham Trent University, and has completed executive education programs at leading universities such as Harvard and Stanford.
