Sergio Gonzalez

Sergio Gonzalez is a Senior Development Chemist at Ascend Performance Materials, specializing in leading technology programs to enhance the Electro-Hydro-Dimerization process for acrylonitrile to adiponitrile. Previously, Sergio served as the Manager of Emerging Technologies at Ingevity, focusing on the development of innovative products for resins and oleo chemicals. Sergio's career began as a Chemist at BASF, overseeing process development and quality assurance projects. Additionally, Sergio's experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at USDA-ARS-NCAUR, consulting on biodegradable polymers, and conducting research at Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Sergio holds a PhD in chemistry from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
