Heider Garcia

Heider Garcia is an accomplished elections professional with extensive experience in electoral administration and technology solutions. Currently serving as Elections Administrator for Dallas County since November 2023, Garcia previously held roles including Senior Subject Matter Expert at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and Elections Administrator at Tarrant County, where efforts led to recognition of Tarrant County's elections for transparency. Garcia's background includes leadership as Elections Manager for Placer County, where the first knowledge base for the Elections Division was implemented, and a significant tenure at Smartmatic, progressing from Software Engineer to Solution Manager, with key contributions in software development and project management. Garcia holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar, obtained in 2003.
