Javier Torrens

Javier Torrens has extensive experience in both education and technical fields. Currently serving as a 4th/5th Grade Math & Science Bilingual & GenEd Teacher in the Dallas Independent School District since September 2016, Javier has also held roles as a Science/ELAR Bilingual Teacher and a SLAR/SS Bilingual Teacher at Esperanza “Hope” Medrano Elementary School. Prior to the teaching career, Javier worked for Maritime Contractors Venezuela and Maersk Drilling Venezuela as a Rig Electrician and Rig Mechanic/Electrician, where responsibilities included preventive and corrective maintenance and electrical troubleshooting of various equipment. An early role as an Inspector at Plaza Campos involved supervising construction projects. Javier holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta and pursued further education at Dallas College Mountain View Campus.
