Sonya Fontenot

Sonya Fontenot, M.A. possesses extensive experience in educational leadership and program coordination, currently serving as the P-TECH Workplace Learning Coordinator for the Dallas Independent School District since July 2019. In this role, Sonya develops and implements programs to enhance student instruction and teacher professional development, coordinates career development services, and integrates workplace learning with core academic curricula. Previous positions include serving as AVID Coordinator in multiple school districts, where Sonya led the development and implementation of AVID programs, supported teacher training, and facilitated student recruitment and community outreach. Sonya holds a Master of Arts in Human Services: Health and Wellness from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
