Azfar Aboobakar

Azfar Aboobakar (FCA) is an experienced finance professional with over two decades of expertise in financial control and reporting. Since October 2007, Azfar has served as the Head of Financial Control & Reporting at Dana Gas PJSC, where responsibilities include overseeing accounting, reporting, planning, treasury, and procurement functions for the group and its subsidiaries, which collectively hold assets exceeding USD 3 billion. Prior to this role, Azfar was a Director of Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1999 to 2007, managing a diverse portfolio of key clients in various industries, including Oil & Gas and Construction. Azfar began a career in finance with A F Ferguson & Co, where essential ACA training was completed. Azfar holds a Chartered Accountancy degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and A' Levels in Economics and Accounting from St. Patricks High School, Karachi.
