Rabiu Umar

Rabiu Umar is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, including cement, energy, and logistics. Currently serving as Group Chief Commercial Officer at Dangote Industries Limited since September 2019, Rabiu Umar oversees sales and marketing leadership strategies. Prior to this, Rabiu Umar was the CEO of Ashaka Cement PLC, driving production and distribution of building materials in Nigeria. Previous positions include Energy and Strategy Director and Energy and Power Director at Lafarge Africa and Lafarge Nigeria, respectively, as well as Chief Operating Officer at Oando Terminals and Logistics. Rabiu Umar's educational background includes a GMP from Harvard Business School, a certification as an ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano. Additionally, Rabiu Umar is engaged in a program on Disruptive Strategy at Harvard Business School.
