Christina Nilsson serves as Chief Advisor and Team Leader for East Africa at the Institut for Menneskerettigheder since April 2022, previously holding roles as Project Manager and Coordinator. Prior to this position, Christina worked at UNDP as an Advisor on women and youth resilience from February 2020 to April 2022. Christina's career also includes significant experience at the Danish Institute for Human Rights as a Project Economist and Programme Manager for Asia from January 2016 to February 2020, as well as a brief tenure as Regional Coordinator for ActionAid Denmark's People4Change Programme in late 2015. Christina began their professional journey at IWGIA, serving as Asia Programme Coordinator for a decade from March 2005 to August 2015. Christina holds a degree from Roskilde University, attended from 1998 to 2001, and completed education at Hotherskolen from 1985 to 1989.
