Ben Lyons

Ben Lyons currently serves as the Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Darktrace, a role commenced in September 2023. Prior to this position, Ben was the Head of External Affairs and Insight at the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation from October 2020 to September 2023, where responsibilities included engaging in communications, international policy, and researching public attitudes towards AI. Ben's previous experience includes serving as the Head of Policy Reviews at the same Centre, a Graduate Student at Tsinghua University through the Schwarzman Scholars program, and holding various roles in communications and public affairs at Virgin Media, FleishmanHillard Fishburn, and other consultancies. Ben holds a BA in History from the University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University.
