Amelia Birdsall Looby

Amelia Birdsall Looby is a seasoned librarian with extensive experience in academic and public library settings. Since May 2019, Amelia has served as the Business, Engineering, & Economics Librarian at Dartmouth College. Prior to this role, Amelia worked at the NY Small Business Development Center as a Library Information Specialist & Web Content Manager from May 2006 to May 2019. Amelia also contributed to the academic field as an Adjunct Professor at the University at Albany, where a graduate-level course on “Special Libraries and Information Centers” was developed and taught. Earlier experience includes serving as an Adult Services Librarian at Bethlehem Public Library and a Pre-Editorial Assistant at EBSCO Information Services. Amelia holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Haverford College.
