Brian Bonner is the Independent Director at Daseke. Prior to this, they were with Trinity Industries, Inc. from March 2012 to March 2022 where they served as SVP and Chief Administrative Officer. In July 2021, they transitioned to being an executive consultant.
During their time at Trinity, Brian was a member of the senior leadership team with a focus on improving key business functions to support company growth. Their responsibilities included interfacing with the Board Compensation Committee, overseeing executive compensation, acquisition integration, IT and cybersecurity, human resources, supply chain and logistics, public affairs, facilities, and business services.
In 2018, Brian gained responsibility for Trinity's market-leading Railcar Leasing and Management Services Group which had 2018 revenue of $730M and more than 120,000 railcars under management. Brian has extensive M&A experience, having led the corporate integration for Trinity's $600M acquisition of Meyer Steel Structures - the largest acquisition in the company's history. Brian also oversaw the successful spin-off of Trinity's infrastructure businesses as a new public company, Arcosa, on November 1, 2018.
Throughout their time at Trinity, Brian has lead major enterprise-wide projects such as Strategic Planning, Organization Design, and New HQ Design & Construction. Brian reports directly to the CEO & President.
Brian Bonner has a Master of Science in Accounting from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas A&M University. Brian is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and as a NACD Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute Cybersecurity Oversight Certificate holder by the National Association of Corporate Directors.
