Dragan Tomic

Dragan Tomic is a highly experienced technology executive currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Databricks since August 2023. Previously, Dragan held multiple leadership roles at Microsoft from 1998 to 2023, including Vice President of Engineering for MDCS, where responsibilities encompassed building industry-leading data platforms and developing the Microsoft Development Center in Serbia. Dragan's significant contributions include leading a successful expansion of the MDCS team, pioneering the data science team for SQL Azure DB, and driving advancements in SQL Server technology. Dragan holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the University of Washington and dual bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Texas Tech University.
