Andy Schwab

Andy Schwab is the Founder and Managing Partner at 5AM Ventures since June 2002. In addition to this role, Andy serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Davidson College since January 2016, and as a Board Trustee at the California Academy of Sciences until June 2024. Previous experience includes serving as a Board Member of the National Venture Capital Association from May 2017 to June 2021, as Principal at Bay City Capital LLC from February 1999 to June 2002, as VP of Business Development at Digital Gene Technologies from January 1998 to February 1999, and in Healthcare Corporate Finance at Montgomery Securities from January 1994 to January 1998. Andy holds a BS in Genetics & Ethics from Davidson College, where attendance spanned from 1989 to 1993, and completed high school at Indian Hill High School between 1985 and 1989.
