Daya Makara UI (DMUI) is a Special Enterprise Unit that is fully owned and operated by the University of Indonesia. DMUI was established on January 9th, 2004. For the last decades, DMUI has been an independent research and consulting institution with a proven track record in producing high-quality outputs for governmental institutions, private sectors, development agencies, and other non-governmental organizations.

In 2023, DMUI established the Sustainable Development Research Cluster to enhance its involvement in realizing nature-resilient development programs across Indonesia through science-based and policy-oriented research activities.
