Andrea Lachenmayr

Andrea Lachenmayr is an attorney with over 20 years of varied legal experience. Currently an attorney advisor with the U.S. Department of Energy, Andrea was previously a partner with the international firms of Norton Rose Fulbright and Thelen Reid & Priest. In private practice, she primarily advised developers, lenders, and others in connection with investments in, and financing for, energy and infrastructure projects. During this time, she also represented several charter schools and other nonprofits on a pro bono basis with respect to corporate governance and related matters, and she served as the founding counsel to both DCI and Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School, a Chinese immersion elementary school in Washington, DC. Andrea received her J D from Georgetown University Law Center and BA in Economics from Wesleyan University. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and daughter, a DCI student.
