Thea Setterbo

Thea Setterbo serves as the Director of Communications for District Council 37 since June 2022, overseeing internal and external communications for New York City's largest labor union. Prior to this role, Thea was the Director of Communications at Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation, where responsibilities included government relations and community engagement. Thea also held various positions within the City of San Antonio's government, including Public Affairs Manager and Public Engagement Officer, where management of media relations and public involvement initiatives were primary tasks. Additional experience includes work as a Communications Specialist for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, a PR/Marketing Coordinator at Rainman, and contributions as a freelance writer for the San Antonio Current. Thea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas State University.
