Carla Caracol

Director, Portugal at DCH

Carla Caracol is the current Director of Portugal at DCH. Carla has also previously worked as an HR Manager at Novo Banco from February 2001 to March 2017. During their time there, they were responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational policies, procedures and practices of HR management. This included designing, developing and implementing an analysis and job description model, as well as conception, development, implementation and monitoring of a Fit & Proper Policy applicable to corporate board and key-functions.

Caracol has also worked as an Invited Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa from January 2019 to December 2019, where they taught a course on Planning, Organization and Human Resources Metrics as part of the Advanced Program in Human Resources Strategic Management - International Programs. Prior to that, they worked as part of the ISCTE Exective Education team.

Caracol has a long history of working in HR, having also worked at APG - Associação Portuguesa de Gestão das Pessoas and Grupo Renascença Multimédia before their time at Novo Banco. Carla started their career at the ISO - International Organization for Standardization.

Carla is a highly experienced HR professional with a wealth of knowledge in the field. Her experience in both the private and public sector makes their uniquely qualified for their current role at DCH.

Carla Caracol has a PDE from AESE Business School, a postgraduate degree in labor law from Universidade de Coimbra, a GMIP from Porto Business School, a PhD in Organizational Behavior from University of Lisbon, a Master's in Organizational Economics Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a Master's in Human Resources Management from Universidade Europeia. Carla also has postgraduate degrees in Strategic HR Management and Development from ISLA Campus Lisboa and in Business Advisement from ISLA Campus Lisboa. Finally, they have a degree in Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
