Dr. Allan Taylor

Dr. Allan Taylor serves as the Head of School and Associate Professor at Leicester Media School, De Montfort University, since August 2020, where responsibilities include managing a team of 20 staff and leading research and enterprise strategy for programs in Video, Imaging, and Sonic Arts. Prior to this role, Dr. Taylor held positions at the University of East London as a Senior Lecturer and in various editorial and creative roles at notable organizations, including Time Inc. as Interim Head Of Content and Immediate Media Co. as Creative Solutions Editor. An accomplished academic, Dr. Taylor has a robust educational background with a PhD in Performance, Photography, and Performativity from Falmouth University, alongside degrees in contemporary performance, drama, and higher education administration.
